أفادت مصادر أمنية، الثلاثاء، بمقتل ضابط شرطة في تبادل إطلاق نار جنوبي البلاد.
وقتل الضابط في تبادل إطلاق نار مع عناصر مسلحة بمدينة أبو تشت بمحافظة قنا، (حوالى 560 كيلومترا من العاصمة القاهرة).
ومنذ عزل الرئيس الأسبق محمد مرسي في يوليو 2013، تستهدف جماعات مسلحة قوات الأمن في مصر، وأوقعت منهم مئات القتلى والمصابين.
وتشن قوات الأمن بدورها حملات على الجماعات المتطرفة، لا سيما في شبه جزيرة سيناء، ويعد أخطرها تنظيم “أنصار بيت المقدس” الذي يتبع تنظيم “داعش”.
